Message from the Coordinator

The aim of the Project Management Workshops is to create a forum for discussion and for sharing knowledge about the more recent developments in specialized subjects of strategic interest for organizations.  The goal is to have a dynamic and participative forum, in which the discussion will be conducted by renown experts in each of the subjects to be addressed. 


Three subjects of strategic interest will be considered, namely: Integrated Management of Programs and Portfolios, Risk Analysis of Capital Investment, and Cost Engineering as applied to Strategic Asset Management (SAM).

In this way, it is intended to provide the participants with the opportunity to contact other professionals in the field and contact with alternative practices that support Strategic Management within the scope of their professional activity.

Who attends

The course is designed for top and senior management professionals interested in getting acquainted with and using strategic change management skills and project-based innovation: project managers, portfolio and program managers, PMO directors, asset managers, directors and executives involved in Strategic Management.

Candidates Profile

Applicants must have a high education degree. Candidates who do not have this requirement may be accepted provided their background and knowledge acquired by professional experience justify such admission. The process of selection and ranking of candidates will be done according to the requirements defined in the Regulation governing this training and always based on curricular and professional judgment, taking into account the submission order of the respective applications.

Programme Outline

Whenever the native language of lecturers is not Portuguese, classes will be taught in English.

Two weekly sessions, Friday 18:00-22:00 and Saturday 9:00-13:00.

The schedule of the modules that prepare for the various professional certification exams will be defined at a later stage and depends on a minimum number of students enrolled. Attendance of each of these modules is optional (upon payment of an additional fee) and will require a minimum number of registrations for the exam.

Payment Policy

When applying it should be paid 10% of the programme's amount. The remaining amount must be settled in accordance with the payment schedule set. VAT at the legal rate must be added to all prices.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of an entry within 15 days prior to the start of the programme will lead to no reimbursement of the registration fee. A no-show or cancellation of a registration after the start of the programme involves its full payment. In certain circumstances, the Católica Porto Business School may postpone or cancel the implementation of a programme and in that case shall return in full all the amounts charged.

Special conditions

The attendance fee will have a 10% discount in case there are two enrolments from the same institution or 15% for three or more enrolments. Former students of Catholic University and EGE - Business Management School will benefit from a 10% discount. AEP Members will have a 10% discount and the associated AEP Plus benefit of a deduction of 13%. Discounts are not cumulative.
