Double Degree with Aston Business School - Double Degrees | Católica Porto Business School

Presentation

The double degree in Business Analytics with the Aston University, a globally recognized management school with triple accreditation and a strong reputation in the field of management, in particular in Business Analytics, strengthens significantly our internationalisation strategy by introducing a new dimension to students who might be interested in gaining academic experience abroad.

In reality, the double degree in Business Analytics allows a student to obtain 2 Master Degrees in 2 years: one at Católica Porto Business School and another at Aston Business School.

Entry in the double degree in Management in Porto with specialization in Business Analytics allows students to take a second year at Aston University, benefiting from two master degrees in two years (as opposed to one degree in one and a half year). Since students had taken the specialization in Business Analytics in Porto at Aston some equivalences will be provided for some of the courses.

Impact on Career

How can the double degree contribute to a successful career?

Firstly, it exposes students to an experience in a different country and culture, which in itself is essential to improving the English language skills and help create an international network of contacts.

Secondly, it adds an international dimension to the academic career, which can be decisive for students wishing to come to work in companies and institutions operating on a global scale. In particular, we hope that the excellent reputation of the Católica Porto Business School and Aston University allow students of double degree get interesting, challenging and hopefully well-paid jobs.

Thirdly, this international dimension can be important even for students who wish to work in Portugal. In fact, this international experience can make them the ideal candidates for positions within the companies and institutions that require a deep understanding of international linkages between markets.
